Disley Tunnel cast iron sign “Disley Tunnel 3866 Yards”, situated on the main Midland line from Manchester Central to London, 12 1/2 miles from Manchester Central. One of the longest tunnels in the UK. Cast iron board with cast iron letters affixed, some missing, probably in service. There was only two of these, so rare. 45″ x 21″.
